Why I admire Sebastian
I don’t want to be another person here who says “Sebastian is Smart.” Not because it’s not true, but while it needs to be said and others have covered and affirmed the point, it seems to be only the beginning of a description. I truly am in awe of what S. knows and the information he has access to. Beyond his professional expertise in Mathematics surpassing my ability to name or describe, Sebastian communicates well in multiple languages (with multiple alphabets) and while natively German-speaking, surpasses most English-speakers in his command of my own mother-tongue.
With a wonderful understanding of great literature and politics and current events, what he knows still does not but begin to describe him.
I’m drawn to Sebastian because of his striving (a trait he shares with many 43t friends), always trying to attain greater, deeper awareness, that includes a healthy physical regimen, explorations of aesthetics and nature,
and maintaining a deep meaningful connection with his fellow strivers.
Sebastian has done one other thing on 43t that many of us have dared not do: He exposed himself. (Get your minds out of the gutter!) In the midst of wowing all of us with the breadth and depth of his mind and apprehension of the world around him, filling us with a sense of a man larger than life. He told us that he struggles—as we all do. That for me was the most heroic of deeds. It provided a myth made man kind of moment, making him both more and less, and giving his admirers someone they would choose to call “friend.”
